ABOUT THIS POSITION
In this position, you will:
- Support our Project Managers and Architects by producing Architectural Drawings, Details,
Renderings, and BIM modeling for various projects. - Be proficient in CAD and/ or Revit
- Familiarity in Sketchup and the Adobe Suite is helpful
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Be familiar with the phases of the design process- from conceptual/SD through CD's and as-builts and be able to produce work within assigned timeframes
- Occasionally assist the Project Manager in visiting job sites to complete existing conditions studies.
- Collaborate with the Architects and PMs to meet the design needs of a project.
In this position, you may occasionally:
- Participate in special events, learning and training exercises.
- Get the opportunity to help develop new design tools for the construction and design field as part of our internal innovation group.
- Enjoy the (more than) occasional company lunch out around Framingham or elsewhere as we like to try new restaurants as a group and Friday often seems like a good day to do that.
You’d be great for this position
- You're experienced at, or ready to be, the principal drafter of design and construction documents for a commercial construction project.
- You’re experienced at, or ready work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment with supportive team members.
- You have great communication skills, written, oral, presentation, and across media platforms.
- You enjoy working as a team, and can take direction and mentorship from others.
- You have a basic understanding of the construction process and are ready to learn more while creating construction documents.
- You are able to travel to project sites within Massachusetts generally.
It’s even better if you:
- Have experience working in Sketchup, and are comfortable putting presentation boards together.
- Have experience with the public c149 design-bid-build process.
- Are interested in pursuing or have obtained credentials such as CPHC, LEED, or any CSI certifications, or MCPPO certification.
- Have a bachelor's degree in Architecture, or Interior Design or are pursuing one
