This project creates a brand new centrally located dining experience for students and staff at Bunker Hill Community College's main Charlestown campus. The new café and lounge space is located in the centrally located E building on the second floor "Main Street" corridor. This main access point connects all floors via a recently renovated atrium space and an outdoor plaza.
The highly visible location fosters a sense of community by taking advantage of the high student traffic and creating an access point between the outdoor "Front Porch" patio space and interior "Main Street" corridor. A glass partition activates the corridor by highlighting the activity on both the café and corridor sides. Much like the building B Student Central project previously designed by our team, this new café space is a place to see and be seen.
